SOM Toolbox

This is the new home page of SOM Toolbox, a function package for MATLAB implementing the Self-Organizing Map (SOM) algorithm and more. We have moved SOM Toolbox to GitHub.

The old version of this site can be found here. Some of the documentation on the old site is outdated, but it can be used until updated versions can be made available.

Updates in this version include:

• Generative Topographic Mapping and Imputation SOM functionality by Tommi Vatanen
• Metric learning for LVQ (see paper ) and relational topographic maps (see paper) have been contributed by Alexander Schulz from the TCS group (head Barbara Hammer) at CITEC centre of excellence, Bielefeld, Germany.
• Some combatibility updates with recent versions of MATLAB

The members of the SOM Toolbox team no longer work for this project and we cannot currently guarantee any support in using SOM Toolbox v2.1. You can contact us via github for contributing SOM toolbox.
