Natural Computation

The group seeks to understand, model, and eventually program naturally occurring computational processes. The current main focus is on DNA and RNA self-assembly and other self-organising processes, but earlier areas of interest have included e.g. algorithms for swarm robotics, control of distributed sensor networks, stochastic search methods for complex optimisation landscapes, and local graph algorithms on large nonuniform networks.
