We propose the use of blind source separation to en-
hance the fault-related machine component in a multi-
channel measurement. The feasibility of this approach
is demonstrated in two real-world applications. For
source separation we use the bilinear forms framework,
which allows the combination of several (problem-specic)
separation criteria. In experiments with articial data
we show that the best performance with either criterion
can be approximated by using their combination.
