AN ALGEBRAIC APPROACH TO BLIND MIMO IDENTIFICATION

This paper deals with the blind identification of multiple
input multipleoutput (MIMO) finite impulse response
(FIR) filters. We limit ourselves to the case of 2 out
puts and 2 inputs with values in R. After a classi
cal prewhitening, the remaining problem is the blind
identification of a paraunitary filter. For this task, we
derive a multilinear algebraic algorithm. This proce
dure is a generalization of the algorithm for indepen
dent component analysis (ICA) described in [1]. The
performance is illustrated by means of some numerical
experiments.
